The services of the Care Coordinator are an integral part of the larger system of services provided by Head Start. The position plays an important part in supporting the goals of the program as well as individual goals for the families and children we serve. This position is responsibile for creating and implementing individualized services to children with behavorial concerns with or without disabilities 1308 of the Head Start Performance Standards. This includes working with Grand Head Start staff and families to create developmentally appropriate behavorial/safety plans and individual goals. This position provides in classroom assistive services, that are centered around the needs of the individual child wth the goal of improving academic and behavioral functioning. Care Coordinators document and monitor progress towards individual goals while providing modeling and behavioral technique resources to staff and families. The position is responsible for maintaining communication with families and center staff to cordinate services and establish continuity of care. Participates in professional development training as needed. Demonstrates commitment to Grand Head Start mission and goals.
Requirements:
Minimum Associates Degree in Special Education, early childhood education, child development, psychology or other closely related field. Bachelors level Degree preferred.
