Supervises: Child nutrition program employees

 

Qualifications: Minimum High School diploma or (GED) and 3 years relevant food                    

service experience or Bachelor’s Degree

Bondable in the amount of $5,000.00

Mastery of local, state and federal food service guidelines

Mastery of local, state and federal child nutrition guidelines

Job Goal: Oversee all aspects of the district’s child nutrition program.

 

Employment Terms: 12 months 

 

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Evaluation: Annually by superintendent

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend at the waist; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift/move up to 25 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands and operate equipment

 

Occasional Requirements:  Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 40 pounds

 

Visual Requirements:  Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus

 

Hearing/Speaking Requirements:  Adequate to exchange information








Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Oversee all aspects of the district’s child nutrition program, including planning, compliance, monitoring, personnel and budgeting.

 

  1. Collaborate with local, state and federal authorities regarding the district’s child nutrition program, including auditors and inspectors.

 

  1. Inspect the cafeteria and food preparation plans and methods to ensure the use of best practices.

 

  1. Monitor budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities to ensure accuracy.

 

  1. Supervise all child nutrition personnel, including recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, and disciplining to ensure maximum efficiency.

 

  1. Regularly participate in appropriate professional development opportunities.

 

  1. Utilize professional behavior in all school related interactions.  

 

  1. Comply with all federal, state and local laws and board policies and procedures.

 

  1. Prepare monthly and yearly reports for the CNP account.


10. Perform all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
